This is a scenery of Ponta Delgada's (LPPD) airport and city, in the main island of the Azores.
Its name is John Paul's airport due to his passage in 1991 in Azores.
This scenery is detailed, with the main terminal, cargo, hangar, fire station, control tower,
the old terminal, that now is the "catering" place of the airport, the CTT dischares building,
taxiway edge lights objects, nocturn lightning, lampposts and some
houses in the "mesh" side.
It has the stands correctly set, photorealistic ground, the real-mesh
around the main terminal, ILS, etc.
The city includes all major buildings and houses on a 3,5x1,5km area (2.15x0.92miles).

- Instalation:

1) Unzip the main zip file to a folder of your choise
2) Copy the folder "LPPD - Ponta Delgada Airport" to AddonScenery in your FS9
3) Start FS » Settings » Scenery Library » Add Area and select this scenery
4) Restart your FS and enjoy!

It was opened in 1969 with the name of "Nordela's Airport", with a 1700mt (5580ft) runway.
The main terminal at that time was next to the hangar, still existing nowadays, but not
anymore a functional terminal, after the opening of the new terminal on the Whisky.
Now, (September 2009), the airport is having works to increase the size of the parkings
on Whisky, to add more taxiways, increase the hangar capacity to A320 and many others
changes.
